Shreveport police make 3 human trafficking arrest

October 8, 2014
SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) — Shreveport police have arrested 2 women and a man after an undercover operation targeting human trafficking.

Police say the arrested were made at a motel in west Shreveport on Tuesday.

Cpl. Marcus Hines says 27-year-old Allen Nash, of Dallas, and 19-year-old Rodisha Johnson, of New Orleans, were booked with a single count of human trafficking. Johnson was additionally charged with possession of marijuana.

Police say a 17-year-old from Texas was also arrested in the operation and booked with prostitution.

Hines says the suspects were booked with human trafficking because the teenager was transported over state lines for the purpose of commercial sex work.

It was unclear if those arrested have attorneys.
